Drones – also known as UAS, UAV, and SUA, are now a vital piece of equipment for many Land Surveyors and other professionals in the construction industry.

Although now widely used by surveyors, drones are not covered by public liability, office, or commercial combined insurance policies.

This means that you need to buy a separate insurance policy for your drone to cover any incidents that may happen such as damage to someone else’s property or injure someone not connected to your business such as a client or a member of the public. In addition, of course, your drone may be damaged or stolen, and this can be added at an extra premium on top of a drone public liability insurance policy.
