The Story So Far
Anchorman Insurance was founded by Cousins Mike Fisher & Ashley Reynolds back in Feb 1998 and remains to this day a family run business. From humble beginings trading from a garden shed at Mikes house It was evident to us even back then that the Professional Indemnity insurance market did not cater for the needs of the smaller Surveying practice, and appeared only geared up to service big companies.
At the time it was a longwinded and frustrating process just obtaining a quotation and involved lots of form filling and waiting, only to be disappointed at the quotation provided. We where pioneers in introducing pre-completed proposal forms and providing telephone quotations, moreover we offered premiums to sole traders and small companies that put the rest of the market to shame.
We took the pain out of PI, simplified the process without jeopardising the cover, we built up our business based on a high quality and friendly service, we secured in-house policy issuing and underwriting facilities from a major insurer, a thing unheard of at that time.
In August 2010 we moved to our current building which with just over 4,000 square feet of office space gives us the opportunity to continue to grow as a company.
There is no doubt that we were instrumental in changing the face of the PI market, and whilst other brokers in time ditched their old methods in an attempt to keep up, Anchorman still remains the number one choice for thousands of Chartered Surveyours, Architects and Engineers.
We have come a long way since the 2nd February 1998 and both of us would like to thank all our clients past and present for believing in us, here's to the next 14 years.
